Ending Of the Hiatus – New Home Adventures

Hello all!  The hiatus for this move was quite a bit longer than I expected.  Hopefully this was the last move for a very long time for two reasons.  One, because I’m SICK AND TIRED OF MOVING!!!!  And two, because I absolutely love it here!!  This place is gorgeous!  Not to mention peaceful, quiet, and in the woods.  Plus, on clear nights, I can walk right outside, look up, and see the milky way.  It’s amazing. ❤  I even bought a hammock (one of my absolute best purchases of the summer) for the balcony for me to lay in at night and enjoy the view. 🙂 Yes, we have a balcony.  And a back porch. 😀

So, I bet you’re wondering what’s taken so long.  Well, let me try to sum it up the best I can.  Basically, one of my close friends bought his house and asked if I’d like to be his roommate.  The house is a two bedroom and it’s the perfect size for both of us!  As a bonus, he loves cats as much as I do, so I could bring mine with me.  For those of you wanting to do the math, I have three cats, he has two.  That’s a total of five cats, but we don’t mind.  We love it! Anyway, moving on….

The house hasn’t been lived in for over 3 years and the grounds were very over grown when we moved in.  So, needless to say, we spent quite a bit of time outside the first couple of weeks just working on the lawn and gardens.  We’re still working on unpacking 2 months later and still working on setting up, but we’ve made a ton of progress so far!

There’s still a lot more to go, but we’re making good progress.  Here’s a few of our random progress pictures which include some photos of the back yard in it’s rough stage.

There’s been a ton of changes around here and plenty more to come, so stay tuned!  As for my art projects, those will hopefully resume at the end of the the month. 🙂  So, be ready for more posts on what I’ve been working on and exploring and thanks for reading! 🙂
