This year’s container garden is my largest ever and I am so excited to see how well this goes!! Now that I live in a larger place with larger deck space, I’ve decided to not only go with my usual plants (basil, parsley, peppers, tomatoes, and flowers) but also with some larger plants such as Brussels sprouts, zucchini, snap peas, green beans, dill, cucumbers, mint, strawberries and melons. I am now up to two lime trees (here’s hoping for more than just two limes this year) and I’ve been able to plant more flowers as well! I’m so happy with all of this. Now some of you may be wondering why I’m still container gardening. Well, due to timing, it’s all I could manage this year. I MIGHT have a larger non-container garden next year, but that’s yet to be determined. For now, check out my larger container gardening attempt!
I’ll be sure to update on how this goes. I’m very interested to see how the larger plants take to container gardening, though I’ve researched that it is possible, I’m excited to see how this turns out this time. Also, we’ve been getting a lot of rain this weekend. I’m really hoping for no negative effects for this.
Have any of you tried planting larger plants in containers? If so, how did it go and what did you plant? 🙂
