Climbing On Buttermilk Falls

Over the weekend, my awesome friend came over and, in exchange for some pizza casserole, changed my oil in my car.  I was very pissed to find out that last time I had my oil changed (at Valvoline) they not only put the filter in so tight that it took them 30 minutes just to get it off, but my oil plug fell out with just a slight touch.  If it would have fallen out (and it seems as if it was on the verge to) that would have been bad.  Very very bad.  So! Anyway, with oil changed, I presented them with an entire pizza casserole and I made myself a cheese-less pizza.  For desert, I made a no dairy white cake with butter cream frosting.  It was soooo good!!  The next morning, I made us cheese-less breakfast pizza.

On Saturday, we went to the park down the street from me.  They had never seen Buttermilk Falls.  Well, it’s a small waterfall down the street form me, so it’s not really a big deal, but it is a nice little waterfall to look at in a huge park.  Well, it didn’t take me long to find a path to the top of the falls so I could climb on them.  So, we ended up climbing around on them… very carefully.  Managed to snag some great shots, too!

I took waaay too many pics (as per usual), so there’s a sampling of the many.  After that, I met some fellow geocachers.  Just ran into them and realized what they were doing.  Well, one thing led to another and we ended up singing inside of Squire’s Castle.  Then we ended up on the other side of the park trying to get another cache.  One thing lead to another and we discovered that we had a friend in common.  After a really fun time of hanging out, I made two new pals.  So, by then, there was just two of us left, so we grabbed some food, drinks, and watched a movie.

For Father’s Day, I ended up baking my dad some Oatmeal Cranberry cookies.  He was definitely a fan, which really made my night.  So all in all, a good weekend.  I got to spend time with a friend yesterday, then with my besty and her sister with the kiddos today at the beach and managed to get a good sunburn going on, followed by some much needed time with my boyfriend.  Add in some work and you have what I’ve been up to.

On that note, I’m heading to bed.  I’m exhausted and haven’t had much sleep in a long time and there’s a pretty good storm going on out there. I’m hoping it will help lul me to sleep. Have a great week, all!  Hoping to post another DIY by the end of the week!
