Nuts About Necklaces

Lately, I’ve been working on necklaces.  Necklaces like I haven’t made before, so it’s been fun!

I made a twisted peacock necklace.

This was an idea I've wanted to make for a while. Simplistic but pretty.

This is the seven secret necklace. This necklace has a pattern of seven. Seven clusters of seven pearls, seven stand alone pearls, seven links between each grouping and single pearls. The chain is an infinity chain that was hand made by me. Measures approximately 52" long and is meant to be worn how ever you want. You can layer it or wear it long.

And my latest twist on byzantine: Fiery Flare.

I’ve worked on some other things as well, like this pair of earrings.  I thought I’d try something new.

This is one of my latest earrings. It's large, but it has a delicate look that still makes a statement.

Then, I was looking around me and immediately became inspired.  I’ve been wanting to make a bracelet using hex nuts for a while, but the direction I was going with them just wasn’t working for me.  So, I tried this out instead and really liked the result.

Lastly, I was talking to a friend of a friend, and she asked me to make something on a scale I’ve never tried before.  She wanted me to make her a couple of chainmaille necklaces – for her dolls.  I have to say, I had a lot of fun with this!  In fact, I want to do more of this and other things.  Perhaps some chainmaille doll clothing as well.  We’ll see how things go, but it was definitely a fun challenge that I hope to have an excuse to do again.

As always, I do take custom orders. 🙂

Anyway, that’s what’s new in the shop of Kuukisu Art.  I’ve also made another new DIY for Lake County Today!  Don’t miss out on this one.  I explain and even show you have to do some crayon art!

I do plan to do more of this and even add a few pieces to the shop in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for those!  I also plan on jumping back into some plastics and some other odds and ends I’ve been wanting to do.  I’m even thinking about starting up some livestreaming again in the very near future.  I have a lot of plans in the works, so keep an eye out in the coming days and weeks.

On that note, I’m taking off for the night to give my hands some rest and play a little bit of Kingdom Hearts.  Not like I did last night where I played until 4am (it was the first time in years I’ve played video games. Don’t judge me. :p ).  So, thanks for reading and expect a new post very very soon!
