Merry Ho Ho Ho!

I had been meaning to post earlier this month, but the holiday season for a crafter is a busy one! Between the craft shows, the etsy orders, and the creation of presents and some new items, I just haven’t had much time to write. Oh, and let us not forget the adventures that have been had.  So, here comes some pictures from what I’ve been up to and complete with commentary!

My last show of the year was in Painesville. Aslynn set up with me and had some really cool holiday items with her.  If you didn’t come see us, you missed out!

After the last show, I took a few days break and cleaned up my apartment and most of all: my craft area.  It was a disaster.  It was such a disaster, it pretty much required me to take before and after photos.

As you can see, a before/after photo was completely warranted.

After the cleaning and purging was finally done, it was time to get down to business and decorate for Christmas!  However, this year, I really didn’t feel like moving stuff around to set up my big tree (I know, I sound like a bah humbug), but I DID manage to decorate!

Tag was super helpful, as always. Perky only investigated, then watched from a distance.

I put my tiny tree I made last Christmas on my desk.

Tag REALLY loves this tree. Every time he sleeps up there, he ends up like this. This also became my Christmas card this year.

The candles you see around the tree were decorated by me for a DIY on Lake County Today!  Be sure to go check it out so you can make some for yourself.  🙂

Then, I found some extra lights, sooooo I decided to decorate my light pole.

I also have a few other things setup, but I didn’t take pictures of it all.  Either way, you get the drift.

Last week, a friend and I went on a magical adventure.  We rode the RTA (the train) into Cleveland.  It was, indeed, a magical adventure.

We made a short stop in Shaker Square, then hopped back on the train and rode into Tower City.

Once there, we ventured outside and explored the square, visited The Soldiers and Sailors Monument, then ended up walking down the street a couple blocks (in the freezing wind) to The Arcade.

After returning to Tower City, we discovered the entrance to the Horseshoe Casino.  So, of course, we had to go check it out.  We quickly signed up for the casino rewards card, just for good measure.  As a bonus, we each received a free snow globe!

After our first exploration and our acquiring of our snow globes, we hopped on the train again and rode out to the Brown’s stadium where our friend was getting off work.  Then we all went back to Tower City and after much discussion, decided to get some food at the casino at The B Spot.  Let me just say that rosemary fries are awesome!!!!  Plus, we had a nice view.  Then, I felt lucky.  So, I played the spots and won a little bit!  I left very happy. 🙂

After getting nice and warm and our bellies full, we ventured back into the square to look at the lights.

Afterwards, we were tired and freezing, so it was time to go home.  Aside from all that, I’ve been busy filling Etsy orders and working on projects for Christmas gifts.  I’ve also been toying with some new stuff that will be coming out just in time for 2014, but I won’t be posting any of that tonight because I can’t risk my family seeing what I’ve been working on because they’re getting some of it! 🙂  So, I’ll post about the new stuff very very soon.  That much I can promise!

After watching Perky and Tag play with their new toy my mom got them (which they LOVE), I packed up the gifts I had made and wrapped and headed out to visit the family.

So, with that, I wish you all Happy Holidays, a Merry Christmas, and I am looking VERY forward to 2014!!  So, stay tuned for the post about the new stuff, thanks for reading, and enjoy your holiday, no matter what you celebrate!  What are your holiday plans?

As you can see, I'm going to have a white Christmas.
