This past week has been a crazy busy one, but it was at least interesting. On Monday, I went to my parent’s house for a cookout and ended up playing some games. One of them was Phase 10, which I love and totally kicked my mom and grandma’s butt at (WOOT!). The other game was Trivial Pursuit Junior from back in the early 90’s. Mom and I had a battle to the end and she barely beat me.
On Tuesday, my friend Aslynn came by and picked up my old sewing machine after I got home from helping my mom. Wednesday, after helping my mom, I attended a Geocaching event out in Geneva. It was very fun and it was cool meeting other local cachers! I didn’t plan on staying long, but I ended up staying a couple hours until I got a text saying that I needed to do something. I’m hoping to make the one across the street from me on the 18th.
Today, I helped my mom start making garlic pickles. Have I ever mentioned that I don’t like pickles? If not, here’s me saying it: I don’t like pickles. I told her I’d give these a try though. I don’t mind canning them at least! So, this is a big experiment. Neither of us have ever made pickles before, let alone garlic ones. So, today we started.
We won’t know how all these come out for another week since they have to sit for a week, but I’ll be sure to post about it in a future post. I’ll even try one. *gulps*
With all that said, I’m going to call it a night. Tomorrow, I hope to find my 75th geocache and then I plan to have a very fun relaxing weekend with some friends. So, until after the weekend, laters! 😀
