The Winefest over the weekend wasn’t what I expected, but things went rather smoothly anyway. It was also a lot of fun! It was very hot, but thanks to my spot where I was set up I had a great breeze. Lots of people kept coming over to my area to catch a bit of that breeze. 🙂 The only down side was the fact that by Sunday night, my back was sun burnt. Like, crispy critter sun burnt. Oh well. It’s painful and itchy but it was still a nice day.
Anyway, this weekend I tried a new thing in my setup. I found some old things of mine and with a little creative enginuity, turned them into some decorative things to hang some of my stuff from. 🙂 I hung my large spiders (all 5 of them!) from the metal grid shelf I found and I hung all of my glass pendant necklaces from an old shelf of a wine rack my mom broke. Yes, she broke a wine rack. Years ago. I was not amused. Either way, it was a great success, so if you didn’t make it out this past weekend, be sure to check it out next you’re visiting my tent!
I seemed to have started a tradition when I set up at the lake – I take pictures of the sunset for that night. It’s a very enjoyable tradition. 🙂
Saturday night, I slept at my parent’s house and got to hang out with my dad. That day, I was reminded just how important it is to eat regularly and drink a lot of fluid when it’s hot out. When ever I’m in the heat, I forget to eat and sometimes forget to drink as much as I should. That night I ended up having to catch up on my food intake and re-hydrate. Sunday was much more successful in that I remembered to eat and drink. 🙂
This weekend, I won’t be setting up at the lake. I’m taking a weekend off. I do plan to set up the following Saturday on the 6th though! I have a few other events coming next month as well. So I hope to see you all at the upcoming events if you’re in the area! New events are always being added, so be sure to check out my facebook page or my upcoming events page to see what I’ll be doing and where. With that said, thanks for stopping by and reading and I’ll post again soon!
