St. Patrick’s Day in Cleveland, OH

Yesterday, I did something I had never done before but always wanted to do. I went to the St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown Cleveland. A friend of mine and I left early and arrived downtown around 11:30 am and the parade didn’t start until 2 pm. I’m so glad we got down there as early as we did like everyone had recommended. It was more fun that way! My friend started drinking and we kept trying to reach friends to come join us. The people watching was spectacular!! Also, being the designated driver meant free drinks for me. 🙂

By the time the parade started, two of our friends had joined us. What we didn’t realize was the parade was going to be two hours long! By the end, our legs and feet hurt and we were freezing, but it was still a lot of fun! Interacting with the people around us during the day, watching the parade, puzzling over why Santa was in the parade (still trying to figure that one out)… it was all a blast! Would I do it again? Definitely! Maybe I’d even stay longer or go do something else after, but I was happy to leave after the parade and then grab some delicious eats with my parents.

Here are a few photos from yesterday.

All the hats on my head and goggles to boot!
