Paint ’til You Faint! and Other Weekend Hijinks

This weekend was a long but fantastic weekend! I kicked my weekend off right by going to Spirit of Clay and creating and painting until they closed at midnight. From now until Christmas, every Friday they are open until midnight and feature Paint ’til You Faint. It was so much fun! I created some awesome things there, and I pick up what I finished this Friday!

I didn’t finish the owl coffee cup, but I will be able to go back in and finish it for free this week. I will probably go on Wednesday to finish it up and do one or two more projects. One more project for sure, the other project is a maybe. I really want to do it though. Knowing me, I probably will. πŸ™‚ I foresee me going there once a month to do something… I really have been enjoying this and I’ve never done it before. It’s so fun! I only hope that some friends of mine will join me on Wednesday if they can. πŸ˜€

Needless to say, I was there until midnight Friday night, then I went home, unwound myself, and went to bed by 1:30am. Got up at 8am, then drove out to visit my grandma. I took her doughnuts from Spudnuts (which I believe has become a favorite of hers) and ate breakfast with her. Then I drove to where my mom works and sat with my dad for an hour talking to him until my mom got off work. Grabbed the gift from her that we both went in on for my best friend’s son for his first birthday, wrapped it up, signed the card, and then I went to her house for the birthday party. He was too adorable and it was cute to watch the little kids all running around and playing with each other. After the party, I stuck around to hang out and we ended up playing Cards Against Humanity plus the two expansions and the Christmas expansion. Got home around midnight, vegged out until 1:30am again, then off I went to bed.

Sunday was a bit more relaxed, it seemed, though my whole weekend was fun. I spent the morning and first couple hours of the afternoon talking to some people, writing some Christmas cards and letters, skyped with Ali from On Small Wings, and then got ready to go. The rest of the day was spent with my boyfriend and enjoying his company. I got home around 8:30ish, vegged out a bit, then crawled into bed at a decent hour so I would be ready for work Monday morning. I most definitely rate this weekend a fantastic weekend. πŸ™‚ I’m looking forward to a good week though I plan to do a lot of cleaning (I kinda let a few things get away from me) and then projects and friends and all kinds of holiday things. πŸ™‚ So, thank you, my dear readers, for stopping by and reading today! Also, I’d love to know what everyone’s holiday traditions are if you’d care to share!

Oh, and I just had to share this pretty!! One of my Christmas cacti is in bloom!
