Happy Turkey Day! I hope you all that celebrate it are getting stuffed with lots of good food and enjoying the company of family and friends today. I know I sure am! Do any of you ever think of that play they try to put on in Addams Family Values where they start singing “Happy happy turkey day”?
I can’t help but think of it. Don’t know why. LOL! Anyway, my day started off this morning by traveling to my grandma’s house out in Geneva. I took some laundry with me (hey, why not?) and washed what I had taken while working on some Christmas and other jewelry (which you’ll hopefully see in tomorrow’s blog), and watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. I lurves me a good parade! Dinner was, of course, spectacular! I ended up bringing home lots of good eats from the leftovers and I keep eying them with temptation. heee… I looooooove turkey! Oh, and I’m currently listening to Alice’s Restaurant because Thanksgiving just isn’t complete without it. :p
Last night, I soooo wish I would have taken pictures. I made seafoam salad for today for the first time and well…. it didn’t go so well. I was covered and the kitchen was covered in green goop. I need to try that again. Perhaps I’ll get the ingredients while I’m out and about on black Friday tomorrow. I really need a few things from the craft store for Saturday, so I will most definitely be venturing out. :p I’m also considering a Christmas tree this year. I haven’t had a large one to decorate since 2005, so I would really like to have one at this point. We’ll see what I can find. 🙂
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I am very thankful. Thankful for my family, my friends, my wonderful and supportive boyfriend, and to be where I am today. I’m thankful for all that I have and this life I am living. Anyone want to share what they are thankful for?
Oh! And how could I forget Black Friday?! In honor of the event, starting now through Monday, I will be having a sale in my Etsy Shop!! Just use this code at checkout: BLACKFRI12 and you’ll receive 10% off your order!
There are days and weeks that I feel… well… like this:
This week, there’s been quite a bit of that feeling. I wish I could make it stop and while I’m excited for Saturday’s Winterfest, I’ll also be happy that it’s over so I can finally relax a little. With that being said, I think I’m going to work on on more thing, then call it a night. Hopefully I’ll find time to post some things up tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by and reading and of course, gobble gobble!!
