Arting, Planting, Cleaning

Mohawked mannequin head with goggles: now 20% cooler! This past weekend aws quite productive! I managed to paint a new jewelry display bust and I think I’m going to do a few more, but not the same kind of bust. I love painting. I’m really even considering trying to paint. As Asylnn once told me, I could probably do some kind of abstract painting or something. Methinks I’m going to venture into the world of paints in the near future. I mean, why not, right? We’ll see what happens. :p At the very least, y’all will get a good laugh if it fails. Anyway, here’s the finished bust:

In other news, I have made a Work In Progress set on flickr. When I think of it and when I can, I’ll post pictures of things I’m working on. That way everyone can follow the things I have in progress or see how I progressed one of my creations. It was an idea of Ali’s, and I liked it, so I went with it. Speaking of which, we’ve been talking about the upcoming Kuucasts. We will be returning with it soon!
Friday night, I managed to transplant my Christmas cactus since it was in dire need of more room and planted a few basil plants for my garden. They sitting on my window sill and I’m waiting to see if they’ll grow. My dad actually got me the basil seeds and planters and gave me some soil for them as well. I’m looking forward to planting them outside on my balcony once the weather is stable enough to start my garden. I have about half the planters I need right now and I plan to buy the rest of what I need with the next pay check. I’m so excited for this! This will be the first time I’ve had a garden since I was a kid! Not to mention, it will be one more thing I can cross off my List. Here’s hoping for a beautiful and delicious summer!

This past weekend, I cleaned like mad. There are times where I get a tiny bit OCD with cleaning and it has kicked in full force. Since I haven’t been home the past few weekends and have been stressed and tired through the past couple of weeks, I haven’t really been keeping up with the apartment like I should. So, washing dishes, deep cleaning the kitchen, mopping, laundry, vacuuming… the works. I cleaned all day on Saturday and got mostly everything done and even managed to finish up a few projects. My kitties were a huge help, as you can see:

On Sunday, I ran to the grocery store for a few quick things then spent the day working on some projects and photographing a bunch of finished projects that I haven’t posted up for sale yet. Now that the photos are taken, all I have to do is create the listings! Which… will hopefully happen tonight and tomorrow. I doubt I’ll get it all up in one night. :p There is quite a bit. XD Besides, I’m close to finishing my new lanyard I’m making for myself and I’m working on making the rings for a larger project that I may start this weekend. I have many of projects in the works and I’m looking so forward to working on them!
So, that was my weekend. Lots of cleaning and projects! Oh, and a bit of foodie stuffs. I made deviled eggs for a snack on Saturday night, and on Sunday I made some delicious chicken and pesto, some lime jello, and a cherry custard cake! Oh so yummy!! My roommate was happy with all that I did over the weekend… especially the food part. LOL!
I guess it’s time for me to finish working on the apartment. Then it will be time to work on some more projects and watch more Daria. Yes, I’ve been watching Daria. It’s fun watching a show I haven’t seen in a while. So, on that note, thanks for stopping by today and see you in the next update!

  1. I love Daria! I aspired to be her in high school.

I’ve got my garden planted. I’ll post picture soonish. Maybe debut them in a new blog by a certain MIA KuuCast hostess?
