Well, this is a couple days later than I intended, but with good reason. 78th Street studios was a blast! Thanks to all those who came out! I was thrilled that so many of my friends showed and my mom was very happy to finally meet some of them. My spiders were a hit and I had such a good time seeing what everyone had created. We had a full house of artists this time and it was absolutely fantastic! I still haven’t seen much of the place. I think it’s still going to be a while before I do. I am still unsure if I will be setting up again there in December or not. It’s still up in the air. I will return to 78th Street in January at the latest.
My next event is going to be the N.E. Geek Expo on November 3rd at Jefferson fairgrounds in Jefferson, OH from 12:30-8pm. Come out and enjoy the geeky fun! I’ll have my usual stuffs along with more spiders and dice jewelry. I have a lot of fun things planned, so I’m really looking forward to this! You can find my count down widget already set for the date on the right.
On Saturday, I baked some experimental cookies that turned out fabulous for a party that night. I made rolo stuff chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cup stuffed chocolate chip cookies. This are a definite make again. I’ll be sure to post instructions on how to make these yummy treats in an upcoming blog, but please note the accidental evil cookie face. LOL!
The party itself was a lot of fun as well! Lots of friends, delicious noms, and alcohol. What a great combo! I was awake (after having very little sleep the night before) until 5am, then crashed on the couch. I’m surprised I made it that long. lol! Earlier that night, I had to help a friend with his thief costume. Little did I know how making a burlap bag into a coin bag would make me bleed. I guess it shouldn’t surprise me. I am the accident prone wonder. :p
In the end, though, it was all worth it. I seem to be injured often anyway, so nothing new there. I just didn’t realize how much cutting the top of my finger hurt until I discovered just how oven I bump it in a day. :p
Sunday was supposed to be my day of grocery shopping, putting away show stuff, and just random tidying up. Well, that didn’t happen. After eating lunch, I discovered how truly tired I really was. So, I ended up drinking a glass of wine and reading a book. I’m about half way through Hidden and it has been very difficult to put it down. I think this is the slowest I’ve ever read a House of Night novel. lol!
Also, I finally have some flower hair sticks up for grabs in the shop with some hair clips soon to follow!! Mix and match colors to make your own custom hair stick. Available colors are: silver, red, orange, gold, blue, purple, green, bronze, and pink.
Yesterday I spent the majority of my night cleaning up my apartment and doing my shopping. I bought a couple new smaller tubs to put my show stuff in, so they’ll now be much easier to transport. They’ll actually fit in my car! Woot!! Tonight I just have a little left to do before I have some guests over. So, on that note, I should probably get to that. Thanks for stopping by today!
