This weekend turned out to be a lot of fun! I had nothing really planned except to have my mom over to help me cut kitty nails and to go to my parent’s house to work on a project. The project, sadly, was not worked on. However, I had a much better weekend than I had anticipated.
Friday night, I was asked by a friend to do a Ustream of me working on my chainmaille. I did, however, he did not tune in. Go figure. I plan to ustream a lot more in the future and make in more known when I do, but I don’t like to stream when my roommate is home, so I don’t usually get the opportunity. Once I move next month, more streaming will happen on a more frequent basis and I will give more notice (when I can). I did managed to have 10 people tune in! So that was cool and thanks to those who did!
Saturday, I ended up going to grab some ribs from a rib cook-off, and stopping in to see some friends near by. Then, after I got home, my roommate and his girlfriend invited me out to dinner and music, so I decided to go for an adventure. We ended up eating at the mexican restaurant next door to the hookah bar, so after dinner, we went and smoked a hookah. It was great to see my friends there! It’s been too long. Then we went to the Boneyard and watched 1988 and had some drinks. They were a good band and we were all singing along to the old hits that we grew up with. It was so fun! Kinda wished I’d have danced, but I felt like I was going to fall over. lol!
Here are some pics from Saturday night:
Clockwise starting from Left: smoke bubble at the hookah bar, the bar at the Boneyard, and then 1988.
Sunday was yet another good day. My mom came over and helped my clip kitty nails. I’m so glad she did! Last night, my roommate tripped in the hallway and scared Perker so bad that she jumped and when she did, a back claw caught just below my eyebrow. If her nails hadn’t been clipped, there’d have been a lot of blood. After that, we grabbed milk shakes and went to the antique co-op. There we found a great deal on a new set of dishes! I’m so happy be be replacing my old ones! Also found a nice spice rack. Very happy about that as well! After that, I had dinner and visited with my parents, went and visited my grandma, then headed home.
Here’s a couple pictures of the dishes I managed to find:
Monday night, I spent the night relaxing after work and working on the double shoulder necklace that I had been working on when I was on Ustream on Friday night. I actually felt like I had it finished last night! Today, I’m looking at it and am going to make a few adjustments, but for the most part, it’s finished. I will take pictures of it after I’m done with the adjustments. It will be on display and up for sale at the 78th Street Studios Art Walk this Friday, the 17th!
So, with that said, come see me this Friday from 5pm-10pm at 78th Street Studios and thanks for stopping by!
