Last weekend was quite the busy one, though it was a lot of fun! I couldn’t believe how tired I was after all of it, but it was totally worth it all! Let’s start with Saturday, shall we? Saturday was awesome! We showed up at the lake around 9:40am. It took the two of us nearly two hours to set everything up. The show went really well and it only took about half an hour to tare everything down. I left the lake around 8:45. After dropping off what I needed to at my family’s house where I’m currently storing my tables and canopy, and visiting my grandmother, I met up with my roommates and had some dinner. Once I made it home, it was nearly midnight and I went strait to bed.
Here’s what my setup on Saturday looked like, plus my neighboring booth’s sign cracked me up:
Sunday, after getting some rest, I went to the Medieval Faire with some friends. It was loads of fun and watched some hilarious shows. Even met some new people! After spending the day there, we ended up at the lake at a winery and had some food and wine samplers. After walking around a bit, I ended up getting home just in time to take a shower and go to bed. Monday, after work, I was so beat from my weekend that I ended up coming home and taking a two hour nap. I guess it’s the sign that I’m getting older when I need a nap to recoup from a weekend full of non-stop fun.
Here are some pictures from Sunday and since it was alternate universe weekend, Dr. Who apparently made a visit:
In other news, I found my new apartment that I will be moving into at the end of September. My roommate and I are going in different directions, but it’s all good. I’ll be closer to work and my boyfriend and I think I’ll really like it there! With an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and a gym, it’s going to be fun living there. I’ll also have a balcony so I can continue to try to grow plants.
Well, that’s about it for now. I have to get up early in the morning to go to the dentist. I’m not too freaked out this time since this is just going to be for him to x-ray my mouth. I mean, I’m nervous, but not freaked out. So it’s time for me to get some sleep. Thanks for stopping by!
