Things to be happy about and slow shutter experimentation

There has been a lot of good things going on in my life this week. Lots of good news has kept coming my way the past few days and I’m totally loving it. I hope the positive things keep flooding on through!
To start with, I ended up with 9 hours overtime on this coming check. Aka, more monies for me. Woo!! Then, I got the call saying that I was an aunt! So, that made me even more ecstatic. Today I had the wonderful surprise of my cousin coming to visit my grandmother, and then on top of all that, I will be adding an event to my events calendar. I will be going to Chicago with some friends in a couple of weeks for a three day weekend. Now, to some of you, this will be a bit strange, but I will be attending the Midwest FurFest. Yes, I’m going to the 3rd largest Furry Convention in the world. Why? Well, I believe that furries are pieces of art themselves and it looks like a lot of fun to go to! I mean, most of these people build and design their own suits. Will I be wearing one? No. I will, however, be taking pictures and having fun! So since I’ve never been to one of these things and since this is going to be my first trip to Chicago, I’m pretty amped about it.
Now on to the photography portion of this blog, my slow shudder experiment. I LOVE playing with moving light and using a slow shudder speed for cool light photos and effects. So, I decided to have a bit of fun driving home one night. Now, keep in mind, I did this very safely. There were almost no cars no the road, it was late at night, I wasn’t going over 20 miles and hour, and I pretty much just pointed, clicked, and kept my eyes on the road. So, I wouldn’t really recommend this while driving, but I am happy with the results. They came out better than i expected!

This one reminds me of jumping to 88 mph in Back to the Future… hahaha!!

The blue really makes this one pop!

It’s like, fuzzy lights…

This last one looks more like Back to the Future than the first!!

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Thank you very much! And it IS always good to have good news stacked like that, and it’s stacking higher, too. I’ll be posting a blog about it later on tonight. :) Thank you for your comment and stopping by!
